so sony have released version 3.00 (and due to security issues have already released 3.01)

this allows you to play ps1 games on your psp... all you need is a little thing called the PS3. as such, with me being from the uk and not wanting to shell out that kind of money, i have been dicked over by sony... and they wonder why the ds is kicking the psp's sorry ass all over the show.

i think this fact will cost them some sales this christmas, and if i knew when i bought mines thatthis was the case, i'd not have bought one at all!

Yeah the other 2 PSP owners are really angry too!

Sony have said they're working on a method that doesn't require a PS3, it'll just take time.

that means, they will wait to see if ppl are stupid enough to buy a ps3 for the ps1 downloads, if it works well enough, we;ll not see the non ps3 option for a while.

screw it, i never play my psp anymore anyways, DS all the way.

that said, is there a list of available ps1 games anywhere? there are a few im hoping for!

Also keep in mind that the PS3 can't even play the PSone games but is the only way to download the PSone games. It's stupid right now, but Sony will get it sorted by early next year.

Thankyou Sony Marketing Representative, you insight was invaluable.

Oh and I admit defeat on this one, it's still not sorted for PSP owners. However the PS3 can now play the PSone games.

The psp i never had an interest in, even though a lot of my friends wanted me to buy one. I think it's a waste of money. DS > PSP

i have both, cant really compare them to be fair, but the DS is generally better at what it does.... psp kinda sucks, if it wasnt for homebrew i'd have the thing traded in/sold
