Tough call, I'd prefer MGS though but yeah, that doesn't help.

I'm not a fanboy, ps3 just ain't good. Great, so it can play high quality movies yet there's not a lot of HDTV's out capable of producing the 1080p level for this. I'm not buying a ps3 to watch movies, if people do that, wtf?

There's a few games coming out for ps3 that I want, however just because you say that the list for xbox 360 games aren't all that impressive, doesn't mean they're not. I could really say Call of Duty 2 is one of the best games I have EVER played. I prefer games on the xbox. You probably don't. I'm not really much of a resi fan, but just because it's coming out i'm not gonna go out my way, buy a ps3 just to get the damn thing.

You prefered an X-Box over PS2 for superior graphics, sound, and frame rate right? Even though it came with a higher price tag due to the superior parts inside the console that were required to produce that quality.

It's the same but reversed.

Saying that you prefer X-Box games is just short-sighted, because you've only got one next gen system to pick from right now. PS3 could blow it out of the water in 3 months, but you'll still be here saying "no X-Box game are better", simply because you're arrogant.

360 fps > ps3 fps.
I dont mind about graphics that much. But the reason why i like the 360 is because it has a great lineup of games the controller is great especially for fps and racing games. And the online is very good.
When i look at the ps3 i see a few good games but not many. The controller is just a ps2 controller with triggers which is alright but would of been nice to have a new designed controller. Also it would be impossible for the 'PS3 could blow it out of the water in 3 months' There isnt any great games coming out apart from moterstorm

anyway, it seems i missed some stuff, so i'll just reply to shit randomly, starting with the imprtant issues first.

the 360 resident evil and the ps3 one wont be the same. thats right, there will be two different games. and yeah.

also, the ps3 may have a weak lineup. whos disputing that? a weak lineup doesnt mean the console will be shit. the 360 has a good (i agree with good, saying the lineup is "great" or "superb" would be a fucking lie) lineup because ITS BEEN OUT FOR A FUCKING YEAR. christ, the ps3 aint even out yet and you're comparing its roster of games to the 360s. you're not comparing apples and oranges here, you're comparing apples and apple seeds.

20 minutes out of a 40 hour game, you're right, the first 20 minutes are quite broing. In fact a can't think of a Final Fantasy where the first 2 hours weren't a long nap. FF X-2 is a shit game though.

That's exactly what i was saying.... the PS3 can run ports better than any of the other system, because it comes with a higher price tag...just like the X-Box. When that's proven you will still be stuck in your X-Box love because you're an obvious arrogant fan boy, thanks for proving the point.

Anyways all I'm saying is give the system 3 months after it's been released, see what's out at the time and what's on the horizon. The 360 was a shakey system too at launch, beyond a few ports of PC and old-gen titles, there was nothing worthwhile.

I like the ps3, I'm excited about a few things. I'm not quite hyped over the online, and that's like the one main things that keeps me gaming regularly. I know the PS3 will get good games, but that's because some developers are PlayStation fanboys too, am i right?
I dunno why they need to push blu-ray so much, seems a tad too early in my eyes. I'm not gonna get blu-ray discs for other media other than PS3 games, for a pretty long time.

I never answered what you said about I buy games for their graphics, sound and frame rate; well you obviously don't know my game preferences. I have actually stated that the major games on the Xbox don't appeal to me, the big one being Halo 1/2. Is that what you meant when you stated that?

I am in no way a fanboy; try and get that into your skull. I see some flaws in the ps3, i see some flaws in the 360. I prefer the 360 right now, the ps3 doesn't offer me anything I want more than the 360, other than MGS and heavy rain.

When I bought the 360, I got CoD 2. Still my favourite game for about a year, and that wasn't a port, was it? So what if it was on PC too, I can't get into PC games, : (.

And Blu Ray's importance will be apparent in about 2 years.

The PS2 shifted to DVD through necessity, although a lot of games in the first two years were still released on CD. After time though, the games simply grew too large, as developers could push the system more, higher quality textures and sound were possible - DVD was needed.

So simply through looking at the disc sizes you can already see that the PS3 is guaranteed higher quality everything, simply because it has a larger storage capacity.

The N64 paid the price for Nintendo playing it safe with what it knows, and sticking with the cartridge format. You can't be complacent when it comes to storage media, you can tout a systems HD textures and sounds all you like, but if you've got nowhere to store them...
